Q: No sound on my LG TV via the HDMI/mini port connection.

I have a MBP (Mid 2010) but despite various sugestions I still cannot get sound on my LG TV via the HDMI/mini port connection. Picture perfect!, any suggestions please?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

System Preferences>Sound>Output select HDMI device as the the sound output.

Mid 2010 Macbook Pros and earlier do not carry sound through the mini display port. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4241

If you computer is one of these models you have to use separate audio cables.
