Is the Ipod Touch 5G available in Retail locations in the U.K or is it Online sales only at the moment?

I plan on buying an Ipod Touch 5G as a gift before I fly to the US in 2 weeks. Estimated dispatch from the online store is 2 weeks so I don't really want to chance it So I was wondering if the Ipod Touch 5G is currently available in Apple Retail Stores (Specifically Birmingham Bullring).

Any help would be appreciated greatly!

Yo man, whats up?

i hate to tell you that, but no, it's not avaible yet worldwide,

at first i also thought it was released in japan, but it turned out that Apple is only shipping the iPod to Apple shops worldwide just to prepare for the offical launch\ sale day.

the truth is Apple is planning to sell the iPod offically right after the 23rd of october's event about a newer ipad as rumored, we can buy the iPod after that event.

and im guessing that in other countries, there are moles in apple shops that illegally sell the ipod to particular individuals, but dont worry bro, its only few days and then we can buy it!!

Not sure about Birmingham, but i bought black ipod touch 5g from apple store in meadowhall on monday 15th october. Staff said they had plenty throughout their stores. Hope this helps.
