Mouse issues with new iMac

I cannot use the mouse to scroll, copy and paste.

Can this be fixed?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Hello:

Try resetting the PRAM and SMC. If that does not help, contact Apple for a warranty replacement mouse.
