Security Update 2012-004 failed

Every time I try to install "Security Update 2012-004" it fails. I have tried through software update and manualy downloading the dmg.

The logs give the following errors:

com.apple.message.uuid: 21F63C57-F4BE-4C2D-9669-433CC039EBC7
com.apple.message.domain: com.apple.PackageKit.install
com.apple.message.signature: FAILURE: Software Update
com.apple.message.result: failure
com.apple.message.value: 66.14019

10/12/12 1:15:20 PM Software Update[89304] SWU: installing "Security Update 2012-004, 1.0"

I then did a regular test with AHT, no errors.

Anyone have any ideas what to try next.

Thanks.

It turns out there was somehow a loced file that did not get unlocked and the error message wasn't helpful enough to point me there. So, with all other programs shut down, I opened a terminal window and ran the following command.

sudo chflags -R nouchg /

It takes a couple minutes to run and you will get a few messages about operation not supported on some files, but it fixed the problem and I was able to install the update.
