Have I damaged my apple rechargeable batteries?

Hello,

My rechargaable batteries were placed in the Apple charger the wrong way (upside down) and left plugged in all day. I didn't notice until hours later, when the amber light was flashing.

It seems to be charging normally now (steady amber light) but I'm now paranoid that I've damanged the batteries, or charger, or will possibly damage my wireless keyboard and trackpad if I use these batteries.

Anybody offer some insight? Thanks so much in advance.

It's a smart charger. It won't damage them. Look closly in the charger and you will see that the batteries can't even make contact at both ends if put in backwards. Wait for the green light then use the batteries.
