How to add birthday in ical mountain lion?

i don't know how but I tried my best as this Apple's website told us to do:

any ideas guys?

Launch Contacts.

Preferences > Template

Click in the "Add Field" box.

Select "Birthday".

Launch Calendar.

Preferences > General

Put a checkmark in the box for "Show Birthdays calendar".
