where is the mail downloads folder

Question

where is the mail downloads folder

I emailed a few images to a client who received them and downloaded them without any problem.

However, since then, there is one image which is in my Drafts mailbox and I can't get rid of it. I have tried everything from just pressing delete, dragging it to Trash, sending it to another email address and have now run out of options.

The path to it says that it resides in the Mail Downloads folder in the Library but for some reason I can't get access to Mail Downloads, either via the Finder or by a search in Spotlight.

Can anyone help?

Triple-click the line below to select it:

~/Library/Mail Downloads

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select Services ▹ Open from the contextual menu.

Thanks Linc.

When I've tried your suggestion and got to the Open step there was a brief flash of a detailed folder but it disappeared before I could see what it was and it went back to the more generic view!

Triple-click the line again, but this time select Services ▹ Show Info from the contextual menu. An Info dialog should open. Does it show "You can read and write" in the Sharing & Permissions section? In the General section, is the box labeled Locked checked?

Thanks again.

In the meantime I went into iCloud prefs and selectd the option to store Drafts on the server, the message moved across and I was able to delete it!

I did look at the "Show Info" and I can read and write and it wasn't locked.
