HOW CAN I UPDATE TO iOS 6?
Can someone please tell me how can I update my phone? When I connect it to my account it tells me that I have no updates and that it is current but I am still at iOS 4.2.6

You'll probably need to have iTunes 10.7 on your system, though some people have reported success with iTunes 10.6.3. No earlier version of iTunes will work.
