Problem adding SIM Pin in Germany

My boyfriend in currently in Germany and using his US iPad 3 wifi + Cellular and has a problem with using his Germany purchased T-Mobile Cellular Data sim. It keeps asking for and not accepting the pin. Anyone else experienced this? Maybe something with iOS6, as this is his first trip with the new software.

hi there,

if the PIN is not recognized, then it is most likely not the PIN for that SIM card.

T-Mobile SIM cards have a safety feature, that asks for a so called PUK code, if a wrong PIN code was entered three times.

That PUK code, if not present, can be retrieved via T-Mobile customer care (in any T-Punkt shops or via phone).
