For some physics courcework I need to put on the maximum and ninimum gradients on a graph. I have no problem getting the error bars on the graph but cannot find a way to add the maximum and minimum gradients on the graph. I'm using Numbers 09. Help!

Are you asking to show the max and min slope of a curve? Is so I think you want to calculate the derivative of the graph:
y(n-0) - y(n-1) for each point of your graph.

No.Sorry i was not as clear as I thought I was. I need to have a straignt line for the maximum and minimum gradiants of the data where the lines pass thorugh all the error bars.

Exactly. Thanks for your help. I think ill do it on a pc since it is an excel template and I don't have excel on my mac. But it is just what I needed.
It opens in Numbers... I tried... but I don't have any data 😉
I could open it as well but when i put the data in the lines on the seccond graph were clearly wrong. I'll try a pc and if its the same I'll assume my data is wrong!
