Does tv out work with safari browser?

I'm not familiar with the Composite AV cable, but have the HDMI and VGA adapters. With the iPad 2, they both can "mirror" the iPad's display. One exception I've found, is when playing a movie or slide show, the TV/monitor has the show, but the iPad has the controls.

I think I read that the Composite and Component cables do not mirror the iPad 2's screen. If that is true, they would not be able to display a Safari browser window, but would only be able to show movies and slide shows.

I hope someone sees this who is more familiar with the equipment you are using. I think there are also Apple forums for education, where you may find someone doing what you are trying to do.

You might go ahead and invest in the Composite AV cable. It may be of use for other applications, even if it does not do exactly what you want here.

If you had the HDMI AV cable, it may be possible to find an HDMI-to-Composite adapter that would meet your needs.
