Will iPhone 5 support China's TD-SCDMA network?

I have been reading some reports that discovered the Qualcomm chip that supports TD-SCDMA in the iPhone 5. As of now, there is no official mention of this chip, nor the support of TD-SCDMA.

I am a subscriber on China Mobile in China and was wondering if, one day in the near future, Apple strikes a deal with China Mobile, will support of China Mobile's TD-SCDMA system be just a flick of a switch to turn it on (maybe through a firmware update) or will Apple have to produce another new iteration of the phone just for this market?

The main point of my question I guess is, should I buy my iPhone 5 in Singapore or Hong Kong where it is already available now, or wait until China Mobile and Apple sign the contract?

Thanks.
