Hi, mahender -

The first thing to do when faced with a Type 1, 2, or 3 error is to increase the Preferred memory allocation for the program experiencing the problem.
Article #18278 - Assigning More Memory to an Application

In this case, try increasing the Preferred memory allocation for both Quark and for Suitcase - for Quark, start with an increase of 50%; for Suitcase, start by doubling its original amount.

It could also be that one or more of the fonts is damaged. Sometimes that can be determined by checking the indicated file size of the font (how much space it occupies on the drive). Unfortunately the file sizes for fonts varies a great deal, and it usually becomes necessary to run a font diagnostic utility. Suitcase 10 may have such a function built-in.

Quark quiting unexpectedly can be one of four things:
1) Bad font
2) Corrupt Quark preferences file
3) Incompatible Quark Xtension
4) Incompatible System Extension

Startup with Extensions OFF and see if Quark runs. If it does your problem is a Bad font or System Extension.

If Quark doesn't run, then it is the Quark Prefs file OR Quark Xtension.

These are the areas to look at.
