Unable to download previously purchased songs

Good morning!

I've bought a new Mac (MacBook Air) and I can't seem to find out how to download songs I purchased on my old Mac (MacBook Black) or on my iPhone. When I click "Store -> Purchased -> Download Previous Purchases" in iTunes I only get "Apps" and "Books". If I select the menu option "Check For Available Downloads..." under "Store" the result is that "All purchases have been downloaded for this account".

So, how do I get all my purchased songs downloaded to my new Mac?

Best regards

Make sure you are using the same Apple ID that originally Purchased the songs...

Also, not all Regions / Countries offer re-downloading of Music...

What if I copy the files from the old Mac to the new? Would that work?

Sure...

There is also this option...

To have EVERYTHING as it was on your Old Mac...

From your OLD computer...

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

An Added Bonus is that you will have a Backup of iTunes.
