Basically, you have 15 minutes worth of motion for your whole project. So, it is saying that you have gone over that limit. Motion includes the animation in themes and transistions between menus. If you have transistions between menus, try taking a few or all of those out of your project.
So what exactly constitues animation in a theme?
I am using reflection Black Theme.
The drop Zones default to 7 spaces. Can drop zones be edited to shower fewer graphics? I just don't know how to cut out the time from a template that is pre made?
Hi
I recently upgraded to iLife 06 and this problem just showed up. I am using an Old Theme .."gen Y" and have only one drop zone per section (total of 4) with .jpg clips in each..no motion or video,
Can I fix this or should I go back to iDvd 05??
Thanks,
I too ran into "too much motion content" alarms, and warnings of exceeding the dvd burn size. Couldn't figure out where the huge size was coming from ... I moved/reduced the loop sizes (even trying "zero"), yet adding them up my math total was less than the Project Info claimed I had.
But I noticed something else: I have pages of Chapters, wherein I'd added Title Menu Buttons (return to main menu). As I changed the Main (title) Menu, the subsequent pages "linked" in the sub-menu's did not change. In other words, each Title Menu Button created a new Main Page -- hence, my exploding size reports. Also, when advancing subsequently from the (newly made) Main Page(s), the pages I linked back to also did not necessarily reflect changes I'd made. So, in short order, I had created numerous "hidden" pages -- these duplicates don't show up on the Map, btw.
I solved this partly by going through my dvd layout (playing it through and following all of my "links") and trying to erase unnecessary duped pages (if you made a small change, you can catch this), and by erasing the Title Menu Buttons, and then recreating them only after I'd finalized my page designs so-as to reduce unneeded copies.
I also found that if I added a Title Menu Button, and, whilst watching the Info saw that I exceeded the size limitation, deleting the button was not reflected in the Info; if I saved, closed and re-opened the file, however, the reduction was accurately reflected and I was able to burn and save a disk image of my project.
I Hope this helps anyone else browsing these discussions for help.
