Q: How to get text messages from other phones that are not iPhones

I just got my iPhone

4 and I have family members without iPhones that send me text messages but I can receive them and they can not receive my texts either can someone give me a solution.

iPhone 4, iOS 6

I just posted a similar problem (but involving iPhone <--> iPhone messaging ), and one of the symptoms is the "message gets delivered only when replying, not when sending a virgin message"

Can you elucidate on the reason for this question you raised in this old dialogue w/ Tessadb?
