Unable to update itunes to 10.7

Purchased iphone5, running Windows 7, attempted to sync, needed to update to 10.7 from 10.6.3. Connects, downloads and attempts to install, then backs up and I receive an error message that does not indicate a particular error. I had unistalled 10.6.3 and tried to install fresh 10.7, same issue. I reinstalled 10.6.3. No change.

On a second PC, running Windows Vista, I was able to update to 10.7. I sync'd the phone, authorizing that PC and was able to transfer Contacts and some Apps, however since then I have been unable to log onto itunes / App store through my iphone. Very frustrating.

Checked on Windows website for compatibility issues with 10.7, however no indication if there is or not. They are only updated to 10.6.

Assistance would be appreciated. Cheers.

Are your user account administrator?

Try to create another user account for testing purpose. Even, try to manually download iTunes from apple website and execute it.

Confirmed that my profile is the Adminstrator on the PC. Tried again last night, no change, won't update. FML.

I am having the same problem and I am administrator, I tried reparing Itunes and uninstalled it and tried re-installing it, got nothing.

I am so fed up with this.. was able to install 10.7. Then it stated I needed an updated version of Apple Mobile Device Support, recommend unistall itunes and AMDS, and reinstall 10.7. Which I did. Now, 10.7 won't install ..again. Found a version of 10.6. .. to reinstall, now it doesn't work because "i tunes library.itl" was installed with a newer version ...F&CK!
