My Apple TV2 froze after a year of no problems. TV screen shows menu but remote buttons do nothing.
Disconnected both cables and connected to my iMac via mini USB. Rapid blinking of white light on Apple TV2.
Does not show up as device in iTunes.
Running OSx 10.8.2
Help?

Did you make sure to have it plugged in when its connected to your mac?
1. Disconnect everything(apple Tv).
2. Launch Itunes on mac
3. Plug in the apple tv to your mac.
4. Plug the apple tv into the wall socket.
