Java Update Oct 2012 Yahoo games issue

I just updated Java on this MacBook Air and no longer can play online Yahoo Bridge. I can sign in to yahoo games, I can get to the bridge lounge. But if I am invited, the message is "error logging into server" and all the lounge tables listed disappear. Same if I try to "Watch" another table or "Create" a table. My partner can see me, but ne'er the twain can meet. Please help if you can..

10/19/12 1:30:34.280 PM java[1802]: CoreAnimation: warning, deleted thread with uncommitted CATransaction; set CA_DEBUG_TRANSACTIONS=1 in environment to log backtraces.

This is what my system logged after I went in to the Yahoo Bridge, went into a lounge, saw all the tables and the users, and clicked to participate. It kicked me off as usual, flashed an unreadable doohicky fast in the upper left hand screen, and left everything blank. So what in heck is an "uncommitted CATransaction" and how do I lure it into a commitment to me?

This is an issue for me also. I unthinkingly installed Apple's 2012-006 java update, then when I went to play on yahoo games followed the missing plug in link. Download Java 7 from Oracle - it won't run yahoo games. So I suppose the question is, how do I reinstall the java 6 browser plug ins which this update by Apple has erased? I have a system backup from a few weeks ago - can I find the plug in there?

I am soooo frustrated. I too have downloaded the Java and now I can get into dominoes and gin, but cannot get into backgammon. It lets me in, shows me the room for about a second, then goes blank with a message saying error downloading room. Can't anyone help with this? I have spent 3 days with apple support and still cannot resolve the problem.

I am having similar problems since updating Java. Yahoo backgammon--opens room briefly, closes, attempting to join game server, error logging into game server. I have no idea what to do! I have tried deleting the Java 7 update and it does nothing different. Is there an answer to this?

This did not work for me. Now I have no idea which Java I have working. All I know is that I can't log in to any Yahoo! game table. How can you check to see which Java you have and then which do you want to use, the Oracle version with their update or the Apple version? I am not normally a Terminal user, so step-by-step info without skipping even the slightest detail would be really appreciated. Thanks!
