I currently have three Macs -- one beige G3 and two Sawtooth G4s -- running three different OSes. The G3 is running 9.1 and the two Sawtooths are running 10.3.9 and 10.5.8. At present the 10.3 machine can see, connect to and swap files with the classic 9.1 (but not the other way around, although this is not a problem for me). The 10.5 machine, however, can't see the older (9.1) G3.

My guess is that, because classic OSes aren't supported by OS 10.5, the newest machine will never see the G3. Am I right, or is there a workaround that will allow me to get this to work?

Part of the problem I'm having is that the Finder in 10.5 is so radically different from the 10.3, both in terms of look and function, that I'm totally lost with even attempting to get it to connect.

Any ideas welcome.
