Lightning Cable with 10W Power Adapter

Hello All,

I am recharging my iPhone 5 with the supplied lightening cable using two different 10W chargers (higher capacity than the one provided) which I understand should work just fine. What is interesting, is that the phone will only charge using one side of the cable which to my understanding, this new style of cable should not be dependent on which side you plug in - it should work either side regardless.

Has anyone else come across this problem and can confirm whether this is normal behavior? Thanks in advance!
