Our podcast used to be listed in iTunes. A couple of months ago our hosting service expired and I began recieving word from listeners that the podcast was no longer available. We've resumed our hosting service but the podcast is now missing from the iTunes store. If I try to resubmit it, the store tells me the feed has already been submitted. How can I fix this issue?
the feed in question is:
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
Also note that the link that previously linked to our podcast in the iTunes store now gives an error saying "The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store."
Yet I cannot resubmit my feed because it's already in the system.
Does anyone know how to get help with this issue? I emailed Apple support last week and have recieved no response.
This issue just became even more bizarre. I had my entire feed name changed from andypeterson.libsyn.com/rss to rabbitroom.libsyn.com/rss thinking that I could resubmit it to iTunes as a fresh new feed. I did so and once again got the message "this feed already exists," even though the feed had never existed 10 minutes before I submitted it.
Someone please shed some light here.
Has anyone found a way to contact Apple about this sort of issue? After some looking I finally found one place to send an email but that was a week ago and there's been no response.
I am experiencing the same problem. Has there been any progress on this since October? My response from Apple basically said your feed is incompatible if it's doing that. But I have a feeling they didn't even look because in the home page for podcasts on Apple. it says, "If you can successfully subscribe to your feed using the Advanced menu in iTunes, you’re ready to submit your feed." -http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1819. And it is subscribable in iTunes and has always been subsribable. Also, in the Apple support, it says to go to http://validator.w3.org and submit your feed to see if it passes and it does. My feed is: http://newbeginningsbaptistchurch.sermon.tv/rss.This problem is getting under my skin and it seems like even Apple doesn't have an answer.
