texting picture problem

when i tried to send a picture with my text it stayed at one loading spot for a long time and 10 mins later it said not able to send and the person i was texting to said on his side apple adobe flashplayer support apeared. how do i send pics with my text without this happening? my friends send pics to me with text but i cant send back to them. by the way i was using iphone 5.
