How do I change apple Id on automatic pop up screen

I have changed my appleID a while back on my Iphone. When I try to update my apps a box pops up for "password". The ID that shows is an old one I used when i first got the phone. I already went into general and updated the ID on the ITunes& Apps link there - but the old one continues to pop up automatically. How can I change this ?
