I believe you need to log into iCloud to access the Find My iPhone App.  But in order to find your Mac you need to do a few things.

    1) In System Preferences/iCloud you need to enable Find my Mac

    2) System Preferences/Security & Privacy/Privacy/Location Services: Enable Location Services

Hope this is what you are asking

On your phone, go into setting >> iCloud.  Make sure you're signed into iCloud and find my iPhone is checked.

Then, on the Mac, go to icloud.com, sign in with the same appleid as on the phone.  Click the green sonar looking thing.
