Stolen MacBook registered by 2nd hand buyer

Hi,

My macbook is stolen last year, i have a police report on that incident. I 've checked whether is registered by someone else by tryig to register with the serial number as if it is not stolen and saw that it is registered . Is there a way to get my macbook back since it is registered with an apple id and can be pin pointed.

Many Thanks

Erinc

I have a similar question. My MacBook was stolen, yet I had find my Mac and Prey installed. I was unable to reach my MacBook or locate it, so I'm assuming it was wiped. If the thief registered the MacBook under his/her name following the wipe, could I find out through Apple who it's. Urges fly registered to by supplying the serial number/proof of purchase?
