PowerBook 1400c Troubles

I have a PowerBook 1400c with Mac OS 8.0. Recently, whenever I turn it on and is loading the extensions for the computer, it shows this message:

Sorry, a system error occured

'~ATM'

illegal instruction

To temporarily turn off extensions, restart and hold down the shift key

I have no idea what the problem is. Of course after I do as instructed by this message, it boots fine, but there of course are no extensions, which I need to use my CD drive (there's an extension called "Apple CD ROM" or something). I looked in my "Control Panels" folder and at the very bottom is an application-thing called "~ATM™".

Any ideas on how to fix this? It would be much appreciated.

Drag that item to the desktop and restart, or use the Extensions Manager to shut it off.
