my iphone 4 suddenly stopped working with no screen and does not power on even though it has been on charge for 12 hours - is it dead or can anyone offer a life-line PLEASE???
It has not been in contact with water, and has not been dropped (it is my life so it has been treated with respect an adoration)

Put it to charging either through a wall charger or through a laptop and hold down Home & Power On buttons simultaneously for at least 20 seconds. It would show Apple Icon and start showing charging.
