Iphoto flipped pictures

Just recently got help rebuilding my iphoto library thumb nails....and found many pictures flipped...I went to edit and had to rotate them 3 times to get them corrected....some have flipped back....and earlier videos which were there after the rebuilding....and flipping now appear as a black triangle and seem to now be missing....any help.
