Rebel xsi files won't open in aperture

My friend let me borrow his xsi and and i shot alot of pictures in raw plus jpeg. When i try to open them in aperture as raw files they are unsupprted. I checked if the camera was compattable and i beleive it is. I also beleive im running the latest compatability update and my aperture is 3.2.4 running on 10.6.8. Any help on how i can work with the raw files would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The raw support for Aperture 3 - Rebel xsi is directly built into MacOS X Lion, see OS X Lion: Supported digital camera RAW formats

I suspect you need to install the raw support for that camera separately if you want to use it with Snow Leopard; check the available raw support upgrades on the Support page: It is part of

If all raw supports are installed, but Aperture does not recognize the camera, it may be necessary to register the raw support for your camera with the launch services database.

This solved my questionRe: Aperture 3 preview of raw file greenish,

but read the follow up posts (the lsregister command) as well, on how it is supposed to work andhow to correct the typos (there are blanks in the commands that need to be removed)
