Schedule Spotlight Indexing

On Mountain Lion, is there any way or any apps to schedule Spotlight indexing?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

AFAIK, you can't do that in any OS version. Spotlight is either enabled or disabled.

This has become a huge problem and aggravation. I like having SpotLight but it has taken over my computer. Accordingly I have dragged my entire hard disk into the Private pane on SpotLight preferences. No more problem, but no more SpotLight.

Try using a Spotlight alternative. Easy Find works fairly well.
