Lion Server - Showing Multiple Volumes for Share Points -1

None of our Shared points or Website worked. No one outside could see our files.

We noticed there were phantom volumes being created by the share points name having a "-1" added to the end.

I ran across THIS problem after having to forced-reboot of our server. (The server did not have a proper shut-down)...

After rebooting our clients outside on the web could not see our shared files. We looked at the settings of the shared points and noticed the location of the name had a strange " -1" at the end of the volumes....

Here is how we fixed it.

In LION SERVER

Shut Off/Turn Off File Share and Websites panes

Go to your FINDER and GO / GO TO FOLDER

Type "/Volumes"

You will see your Phantom Duplicate Drives. Be sure to open them to make sure you select the phantom one. You will see default folder/websites created in them.

Select Phantom Drive and Delete.

Shut down computer (NO restart)

Start up computer

Before turning your panes back on you will need to in:

File Sharing - Remove each Share Point and reconnect the folders (Your permissions should stay intact so just re add the drives or folder back here)

Websites - (2 part) You are going to edit each website TWICE.

(1)Re Edit each site and select a different volume (any other volume other than the original bad volume...the main Server HD is good and just select it) - Click Done...

(2)THEN Re EDIT the same website and SELECT the your proper place where your site files are stored in. Click Done. You are just saving a new good and valid (any) folder...to remove the old because you don't want it to create a NEW PHANTOM drive.

(I only had problem with these two panes..you may have to reset other panes accordingly)
