printer permissions will not repair?

Epson printer will not set up or not show up in printer list. And if I try to repair my permissions they will not repair it just runs out a long list of repairs that

never quite gets repaired right.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Epson 810 does not setup right
