See this page for info on how to cut down the amount of code requied...

That is interesting. I used that procedure.
Either you didn't read my question or understand it , or I failed in my question.
You didn't read the proceedure since its giving instructions for removing over 50% of the code.
If the code is appearing then you haven't copied and pasted it correctly.
If you want help with this you would need to post the actual code here to see where you are going wrong.
Let me review so I don't use your time unfairly.
Thank you.

Roddy:
I reread the Snippets discourse. Obtaining a map is not the problem. I was able to use the snippet and get a reasonably sized map that is perfectly functional. HOWEVER, as noted earlier if you click the map with your cursor to move its center or to zoom in or out the whole code shows up.
Thanks again,
Publish the page to a local folder to test it or double click the widget area so that it is outlined in blue.
Roddy:
I did as you suggested and published the entire site/changes to a desktop folder.
Voila !
I dont' fully understand, but you are absolutely correct and I am grateful in the extreme.
I hope I might be able call upon you for a few questions if they come up and I am unable to research and resolve them myself. The site will be for my wife - a physician, and so the site will need to elegant in its simplicity; no 64pt fonts in bold mixed colors, no wiggles or jiggles, or sound. Easy on the eyes. Accessible to the mind.
Kudos to you and many thanks again

Roddy;
I would like to add a .pdf to one of my iWeb pages for patients to download. It is 6 pages and so is cumbersome and a hyperlink with an image of the first page or just "Forms".
Where do I store the pdf for the hyperlink ?
Thanks for your time,
Nate
Create a zip of the pdf. See the bottom of this page for how to create a PC compatible zip...
http://www.iwebformusicians.com/iWeb/PDFs.html
See the same page under "PDF Downloads" for where to put the file and how to link to it.
Use an FTP app to upload the folder...

Roddy -
My thanks again.
I will scan the color docs and go to grey scale in photoshop for black & form so the visitor won't have to print a color form. Then Yemzip for PC compatible, then to a folder named downloads. My next hurddle will be where to put the "downloads" folder once I have completed all the work and its time to ftp to some iweb host.
Do you get hazzard pay for these questions ?
My thanks again,
Nathan B
The download folder should go in the root folder on the server where the rest of your website files are.
No pay - just an occasional thank you!
