how to get video out of ipod touch?

Just connect the iiPod to the cable and the cable to a display device. The iPod will only display TV out in apps that support TV out. The Video appis one such app.

Try:

- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

If you would have said that sooner, I would have told you that other uses have reported the same problem after updating to iOS 6 and I have not seen a solution.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned; it's necessary to select 'TVOUTPUT' > 'ON' from Settings > Video.

I just hooked up my iPod touch via the HDMI cable adapter I purchased for $40. I have used this in the past which worked beautifully but now with iOS 6 update, Video Out is no longer an option so I can only get the sound out like the other poster.

Apple>>> This is extremely annoying and you have rendered my $40 adapter useless. Is this just an oversight in the updated software? It needs to be addressed in another update!

I just solved my own problem. The TV Out option is in the app I was trying to use. It has been a long time since I last used this setup so I had forgotten. All is well now.
