My iPod Touch 5g switched from "processing items" to "Preparing to ship" How long will it take to ship?

Last night around 5:00 PM Eastern Time my iPod touch 5g switched from "processing items" to "Preparing to ship" How long does it usually take to ship?

iPod touch, iOS 6

Mine went to preparing to ship yesterday, and it is still preparing for shipment today. I talked to Apple support and they said it can take 24 hours all the way to 2 weeks to ship. My estimated delivery date is Nov.1

Don't expect it earlier then Nov.
