HP stapler/stacker does not staple multiple collated copies correctly with OSX 10.8.2

Since upgrading to OSX Moutain Lion, HP 4250 DTN with Stapler/Stacker Accessory will not correctly staple multiple collated printed copies. Instead of stapling multiple copies of a 4 page document it will continue until the maximun number of copies is printed and then staple all the copies.

Consequently I must resort to printing those docs on Macbook G4 running OSX 10.5.8.

Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 12GB
