can't install due to only 10 character s/n

I just bought a refurbished 30GB Ipod Photo. When I tried to install Itunes with the cd that came with it, it asked for an 11 character serial number but mine is only 10 characters. What do I do?

Im not sure about that but Id say your best bet is to contact apple if you bought it from them, or just email them at the link below and see if they can help

Also double check the number, you may have over looked one. try entering the 10 and see if iTunes will go thru with the install anyways.

just checking. by any chance, is that one of the iPods made by HP? (they come with 10-digit serial numbers.)
