I am trying to hook my iPhone to my TV to stream movies - is it possible?

I have hooked my ipad to a HDMI input of the TV using the adapter you buy from Apple and played movies that way so I guess you can do that too with a phone. IF you have Apple TV and iused airplay it would be easy

You can get that cable which will allow you to stream vids from your phone to your tv.
If you have a media center like XBMC you can do it wirelessly and stream in both directions 😀

The best solution I've found is an Apple TV using AirPlay.
