I am running Moutain Lion on my imac and on my new Macbook Air.
I have iWork 08 on my mac and wish to use icloud to share my documents accross all my devices.
Do I need to buy the app on my mac or will it run off iWork 08?
And do I need to buy the app for my Macbook and a separate one for my iphone?

1. You have to buy it only once for all your Mac computers.
2. You have to buy Pages for Mac and Pages for iOS version
Am I right in assuming that i need the version from the app store on my mac or will the iWork 08 version (ahem) work?
If you have iWork '08 in a folder, iWork '09 will be installed alongside iWork '08, but you don't need '08 when you purchase Pages '09
I am doing a complete clean/fresh erase/format install of ML10.8.2 including all Applications. I will only be using Time Machine to bring over my Documents folder, all other Media (Music, Pictures etc) are on a separate drive. I need to do this as I have only been upgrading since Leopard and installing and un-installing all sorts of things over this period and now my venerable iMac 7.1 is starting to have to many beach balls.
I am running all the latest versions of ILife and iWorks which have been automatically updated over the top of my original install disks (iLife11 & iWork08). I have not purchased these App's separately from the App store.
Do I need to re-install these applications from original disks then let Software Update do its thing? or do I need to purchase these applications separately from the App store?
You can reinstall from your disks, but will have to upgrade them to have them work with ML.
