If I deleted the existing Apple ID to use iCloud, will it delete that backup or the other Apple devices will still be supported by icloud on the old Apple ID

If I deleted the existing Apple ID to use iCloud, will it delete that backup supported by the old Apple ID or the other Apple devices will still be supported by icloud on the old Apple ID ?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1
