I keep losing my Internet on Wi fi and Ethernet, on Ethernet if I renew DHCP lease it will start again put within 20/30 seconds it disconnect again. My laptop , iPhone, iPad my other laptop all work with no problems, so it can't be the router any help please, my iMac is around 4 years old

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
Is that Interface dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations.
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Still not working, getting very fed up with this problem.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
Have open Console in Utilities and the following report (repeating) message comes up, not sure what it means

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?
No still not working, in new account.
If you are using a secondary router, turn off "DHCP server" on second router.
you can search "Lan-to-Lan" and "Lan-to-WAN" for more information.

I keep losing my Internet connection on my I mac osx 10.7.5 Wi fi and Ethernet. The only way to reconnect I'd renew dhcp but then it will disconnect again less then a minute
