iPhone 5 bought in USA does not send messages in the Indian Network

hi there


i have brough my iphone 5 in USA,and i am now in India.

All features on my phone are wroking fine, except sending sms.


Due to this features i cant activate imessaging and cant use a bunch of mobile banking applications as they need to send an sms on start up.


When i check with Apple Bangalore (India) they told me that my phone is locked :-(


i paid the full price for the phone 681.45 USD!!!!


can someone help me figure out how i can unlock my phone and get this sms feature to work please!!!!

everything works perfectly fine on the phone (inspite it being abroad coz i am in india rght now) except the sms feature....i even receive sms's, just cant send them..this is a new thread started by me, but i just noticed that there is already an existing thread where people from accross the globe are facing this exact same issue....the only thins i am trying to figure out (juts like a thousand other people( is when everything works on the phone, why wont the sms fetaure work? this problem is only with sprint iphone 5's

Apple are not following this forum

You have a Sprint CDMA iphone using the GSM sim

it was sold to work on the Sprint CDMA network in the US

with occassional overseas use on GSM


Only Sprint will be able to help you


You would have been better off waiting for the iP5 to be released in your country

where it would work flawlessly
