Q: How do you copy photos I have received from a shared photostream into my albums so I can keep them permanently?

I've received photos from a friend via shared photostream. How do I import them into my albums so I don't lose them and can share them if I want to?

iPad 2, iOS 6

Do you mean on your Mac (this is the iLife iPhoto forum) or on your iPad?

    importfrom.png

    • On your Mac ctrl-click the photo(s) in the shared Photo Stream and select "Import". This will create a new event with imported images.
    • On your iPad open the "Photos" app, open the shared Photos Steam, click the "Edit" button, select the images and press the "Share" button.
Select to share to the "Camera Roll". This will store the photos on your iPad.

Thanks for this.  Just on your iPad answer, once the photo is on the camera roll how do you convert it into an event that appears in albums? Thx

Not True! There is no choice to add to an "existing album"!!!
