Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Is there a way I can use the rsync command to sync to different folders ie. music libraries on one local machine?

I would like to sync multiple library folders while keeping the filenames and directory structure sound. I have a massive amount of music and I would like a quick efficient solution to keep the files I need and remove the files I don't (duplicates).

I have been told to import all the music library folders into itunes and remove the duplicates one by one but I feel this would be too time consuming for a library of this magnitude.

If I can use rsync what exactly are the commands and options I would need to use in the CLI to achieve the syncronicity I am desiring.

Thank you for your consideration and look forward to your answer.

Sincerely,

Chris
