I restored my old ipod touch and I can't seem to get facebook from the app store because it is saying I need OS 4.3 and I have 4.2.1, I can't find anywhere to upgrade the software. Does anyone know how to do this?

2nd gen can go to 4.2.1
Can you install older versions of an app which are compatible with older versions of iOS? If not are there any other solutions other than by a new one?
Only if you a copy of the previous version of the app like in your recycle bin or computer file backup.
No. If you use iTunes, check to see if the version of the app in iTunes has not yet been updated. If you had not previously downloaded the app then it cannot be installed.
