Help Migrating Files

The Migration Assistant on my PC said it lost connection as I was trying to transfer files to my new MacBook Air. MacBook keeps thinking it is "copying swsetup" with 6 minutes to go. I tried relaunding Migration Assistant on PC and it is still looking for the MacBook Air. I'm a nube at Mac and I don't even know how to start over on the Mac. Help?

Not even sure I chose the right operating system...
