My iPad screen says that my iPad has been disabled. Below that it says to connect to iTunes but i can't because my iPad is locked and I can't get to the screen to put in my passcode. Any suggestions?

Force iPad into Recovery Mode:

1. Turn off iPad

2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone

3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad

4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen

5. Release the Home button

6. Open iTune

7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"

8. Use iTune to restore iPad

Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

This is what was recommended and worked for me. Hopefully you had everything backed up on iTunes or in the Cloud.

I have repeatadely done this and the only thing that keeps coming up is an error message saying....the ipad software update server could not be contacted.

Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later???

Must of kept pressing ok to that then restore 30 times or so is this right?

Or do I have to keep taking the charger out and repeating step 1-8?

Please help stressing me out!!!
