I get gray and white checkerboard on screen when mirroring, 2different tv's.
How do I correct settings?

What are you mirroring with, you list OS X 10.5.3 which does not support mirroring!

I will accept that it is an OS problem, but when I click the About this Mac on my computer, it reports that I'm using 10.8.3. Not sure why it inserted the 10.5.3 version asd I was not aware that had been added until I read your reply.
