Safari will not add or edit bookmarks after upgrade to iOS 6

I recently upgraded to iOS 6 on an iPhone 4S and now I am experiencing the several issues - I can't add new bookmarks, I can't delete old ones, and I can not add or delete things on my reading list. All of my old bookmarks are visible, but as mentioned, can not be deleted. The only thing that works is the "Add to Home Screen" option (I have not tried the Facebook and Twitter links).I have tried every solution listed for a similar question in the iPad community - except erasing and restoring my phone - all to no avail. Apple - please figure out what the issue is and release a patch. Anyone with a solution please post. Thanks.
